Dr. Ruth E. Bonander

Dr. Ruth Bonander was born in San Francisco and grew up in Turlock. After graduating from Turlock High School she moved to Chicago to attend North Park College and Theological Seminary. Upon completing her course in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, she enrolled in Illinois College Of Optometry, graduating in 1978.
 
In 1985 she opened her practice at her current in Turlock on Golden State Blvd which moved to the current location on Monte Vista Ave in October of 2013. She is a member of the San Joaquin Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Bonander enjoys walking with her dog daily, attending and teaching Sunday School at Cornerstone Covenant Church, and is an avid reader.

Dr. Joyce Ibanez

Dr Joyce Ibanez (formerly Gorman) was born and raised in Turlock. She attended University of California, Santa Cruz and graduated with a BS in Biology in 2007. After graduating, Dr. Ibanez married Robert and moved to England where he was stationed with the Air Force. Upon returning in 2009 she enrolled in Southern California College of Optometry and graduated in 2013.

Dr. Ibanez joined the practice with her mother, Ruth Bonander in July of 2013. Dr. Bonander and Ibanez enjoy working together as a mother daughter team. Dr Ibanez is also a member of the San Joaquin Optometric Society, the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She is also very active in BNI (Business Networking International).
